The Little Mermaid
The 1990 movie The Little Mermaid which started the Disney Renaissance period gets a live action remake and the movie has been given a PG are rating in the UK for mild threat.

The movie stars Halle Bailey as the mermaid Arial who has previously who was previously seen in the 2006 movie Last Holiday abd will be seen in the musical version of The Colour Purple coming later this year.

The movie also stars Melissa McCarthy who has previously starred in Spy and Thunder Force.

Rob Marshall directs the remake who has previously directed Memoirs of a Geisha and Mary Poppins Returns.

Movie Synopsis

The youngest of King Triton's daughters, Ariel is a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. Longing to find out more about the world beyond the sea, Ariel visits the surface and falls for the dashing Prince Eric. Following her heart, she makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to experience life on land.
