After the hype it was always going to be big and the Deadpool entry into the MCU has certainly been an event as it smashes into the top of the UK box office.

The movie lands at number 1 with a £17 Million plus opening commanding 70% of the total box office take this weekend.

It is also the 5th largest debut in the month of July.

The path ahead looks good for the movie and with these numbers a sequel of some kind in guaranteed.

Last weeks top movie, Despicable Me 4 falls to number 2 this weekend after a couple of weeks at the top of the box office.

Inside Out 2 continues to do amazingly well and has taken over £50 Million at the UK box office.
