With the stay at home order issued by the UK government, and the closing of non essential businesses, cinemas are still closed and the public are not leaving home, hence there are no new releases at the box office this weekend.

This is going to continue for the coming weeks and it could be late April, early May before things resume to normal.

Its been an interesting week with more films being delayed, most notably Wonder Woman 1984 which was due for release next month has now been moved to August 14th.

Although there was no official box office chart this weekend, the first time since the regular box office was reported, with cinemas not closing down until the middle of the week some figures were reported and The Invisible Man would have been the top film in the UK.

Also across the globe there was some countries reporting box office figures, and Trolls World Tour would have been the top movie of the week.

Many studios released their most recent blockbuster movies on streaming this past week with the likes of The Invisible Man, Bloodshot and the last reported number one box office film Onward all doing well on the streaming services.

**UPDATE** It is being reported that cinemas in China are in fact closing down again as a precaution, and to help the global fight against the coronavirus.**UPDATE** In China where the coronavirus has subsided enough for cinemas to reopen, a number of older blockbusters have been re-released in a hope to get people back in the habit of going out to their multiplexes, these include Avatar, some Harry Potter films and a number of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films as well as The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.
