UK video charts analysis 9th November 2014:  The Fault in our Stars takes the top spot

Another change on the UK video chart this week with tearjerking drama The Fault in Our Stars taking over at the top of the chart on it's first week of release.

The Fault in Our Stars was released at UK cinemas on 20th June this year taking £3.4 million on it's opening weekend where it entered at the top of the box office.

A six week stay on the box office saw it take a total gross of £11 million most of which happened in the first 3 weeks of release.

Falling from the top position to the runner up on it's second week of release is Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie.

The HobbitL The Desolation of Smaug was released in special extended edition last week and in turn re-enters the video chart at three.

Other new film of the video chart this week are: The Snow Queen at seven, Chef at thirteen and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire re-enters at fourteen.
